I alway thought the bubble on the the hose was sorta like how the belt on a tire would break and leave bumps on the affected area of a tire.

Reasons for a hose perforator.

Thank you for the kind welcomes!

You will find that many hoses are perforated during the manufacturing process. (and very frequently in vulcanizing processes). Hoses are made of layers. These layers are perforateed to release gases trapped between the layers. It sounds mental to perforate a hose, but it is quite a common practice. Often bubbles will arise on the outside of high pressure hoses. These bubbles can be eliminated by micro perforating the layers of the hose. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me at the contact infomation below.

We purchased hose this spring and I noticed the perforations in the hose. These lengths of hose did not last as long as other hose in our fleet, not perforated. Seems water seeped in the exterior of the hose and rusted the steel and weekend it. All four hoses we bought are now in the trash.
