Last week I asked a salesman if I could use a cold PW with a hotbox and he said I couldn’t. He said the PW couldn’t take the high temperature. But I keep reading in these bbs that people use hotboxes all the time. How does it work?

Hey, Alvaro. The hot box goes DOWNSTREAM of the pressure washer. The washer pumps the cold water through the hotbox, which heats it and sends it out the hose to your gun. It will work just fine. You really don't want to run hot water through the pump.
