How many here Have Roof Cleaning Services?

what are you using chemical wise? i have never killed a plant or any grass unless i got muratic acid on it etching driveways.
Are you using "softwashing" (as in sodium hypochlorite) methods or just pressure washing the roofs?

40% SH and 60%water with dawn for foaming. No rinsing.

Do u use that mix on tile roofs also? Ijust shoot my chlorine through the injector and it comes out like 20/80.imguessing if I put it on as str9ong as u id kill everything. The houses down here are heavily landscaped. We r in the tropics and some neighborhoods are like jungles neatly manicured.so it would be almost impossible to cover everything.I bet apple roof cleaning understands this well.

The chemical solution James describes above is basically what we use for non pressure roof cleaning. Anthony, you should check out The Roof Cleaning Institute and learn to clean a roof without a pressure washer.

We do not Down Stream our Chems. Chris and many of us, me included use a Non Pressure method which involves using a dedicated Roof Cleaning pump and a Roof Cleaning mix of SH, water and surfactants. We DO NOT rinse our Roofs. That is left up to mother nature. All Plants, Shrubs, landscaping etc... is either covered (for overly sensitive landscaping) or watered down before during and after the chem process.

Percentages of Sodium Hypochlorite can be misleading, since they depend on how FRESH your SH is. We never go over 40 percent SH, even on Tile Roofs. W/O a dedicated roof cleaning pump, one is never really sure what percentage of SH they are applying, but you can bet it will be much too weak to clean w/o using pressure. We do Million Dollar homes with tons of landscaping and no gutters, all the time. I will honestly say that 85 percent of the time on tile roofs with no gutters, there is no effect on the plants.
But sometimes as careful as you are, there may be a yellow spot here and there. The trick is to work slowly in the weaker ranges of the chemicals, and have groundspeople who know what they are doing.

We perform Roof Cleaning in Reading PA and surrounding counties.

Already got several jobs lined up for Spring as well as a small HOA of condos. I did the demo and got a contract on the spot for it. I love cleaning roofs.
