I stared in 1998, when basically the only board worth anything was Delco's. I learned alot from there, but nowhere did I learn more then the PWNA meetings...........one on one interaction with people in this business, honestly answered questions...........it all helped alot.

The boards are great, but if you ask me.......nothing beats a real conversation.

I started in 1996 with no knowledge and experience.
The year before I cleaned my own home and deck with my friends PW and I went from there.

Now with these bbs you can grow as much as you want with unlimited Knowledge if your willing to work your tail off.

1 easy rule to follow learn your chems and keep the pressure to a min.

I knew absolutely nothing when I started in this business but like everyone else, I learned from my mistakes.

I'm with Mike, talking face to face with people who do what we do is the best way to go, especially if you can find someone who's open and doesn't mind spending the time to help. Bulletin Boards are a close 2nd (especially this one).

I had no experience or knowledge when I started in 2002 pretty much learned from my mistakes and talking to other pwers when I joined theses boards this year I already had alot of experience with the labor side now I'm learning you really need to market and have a web site I have a meeting after the first of the year to set up a web site any suggestion I've been looking at all of alls web sites

We are very lucky. We started our business 10 yrs. ago. Painting. We PW homes, etc. Learned on the job. We pretty much did everything the hard way. Through the last year & 1/2, we trained from others. Learning what to use, how to use it, and how to be the best. We are a long way from where we will be some day. We are however profitable. We believe in education. learn everything and run the business to make a profit. I see many folks in all facets of life, beating their heads against the wall. Daily. Why? We did it for three years then got a little wiser. Joined multiple groups, got involved, trained, became accreditated, did whatever it took. I may be wrong, but I see alot of folks saying they charge the same as others. I believe it is because they do not know what to charge or how to figure what to charge. We again did it for three years. We worked 24/7 and made no money. We will never make that mistake again. The last ten years, our equipment went from our little electric PWer to our new system Bob Williamson built for us. (pictured). We just ordered the Bandit also. We are playing the game to win. I know as we progress in our business, we love to share our trials and tribulations with others. We enjoy helping others as they helped us. It is great to get together with others, as we will in Michigan soon and share our ideas and help one another. The folks last year were knowledgable and experienced. Sorry to ramble, It is exciting to grow our company and share with others. Thank You.

Having been in the home repair business before, I had some knowledge of pressure washing. I got too old to sling a hammer so this was my solution. I think this is harder work.

Back in 1993, non pressure roof cleaning was a closely guarded secret, known only to a few, and they weren't talking.
I found the Delco board in 1998 - 2000, and started answering roof cleaning questions there.
Dave Ottmeyers board was around back then too, but too much BS was allowed on that board.
Stayed on Delco, stayed loyal, while most moved on.
Delco will always be special to me.
Even wrote a song about my old home. Never let the Delco Board, the Hinderliter's, or Larry Hinckley be forgotten.

Here is the music http://www.lsjunction.com/midi/yellowr.mid

Here are the words - sing along!

There's the Delco Board from Texas, that I am going to see,
No one else could miss it, not half as much as me.
I cried so when I left her, it like to broke my heart,
When I come back to Delco, we nevermore will part.

Delco was the first board, our Industry ever knew,
Before other boards were common, it was there for me and you;
Talk about your favorite place, and sing it's praises too,
But the Delco Board of Texas was there when other boards were new

When Chemicals are a flowin, and the Burner burns so bright,
And I'm out cleaning Concrete in the quiet summer night:
I know Delco remembers, when we hung out long ago,
I promise to return again, and not to leave her so.

Oh now I'm going to find her, for my heart is full of woe,
And we'll talk cleaning together, like we did not long ago
We'll learn from Larry Hinckley, and learn to clean some more,
And the Delco Board of Texas shall be mine forevermore.
The Delco Board of Texas shall be mine forevermore.
The Delco Board of Texas shall be mine forevermore.

I had been doing pw for about 1.5 years before I started my own in 2003. I thought I knew what I was doing. It is totally different working for someone and doing it yourself.
