I would like to first of all say thank you for the professionalism of the site and the way it is organized. I have found a lot of useful information from all the contributing professionals like you.

I am in the military and would love to start my own part time pressure washing business specializing in driveway cleaning. It may sound crazy but pressure washing calms my nerves after the multiple combat deployments I have experienced.

I have found a used unit but would like to pull on your expertise on what would be a fair price to pay. The unit specs are as follows:

2005 EPPS PDC354B16C 3500 psi 4.0 gpm 16hp 48"L X 22"W X 43"H 12V/120V burner

He says he has 130 hrs on it and has made repairs in the hot water tank due to not winterizing it one year and having to replace the tank costing 2k. He said he paid 6500k new. Seems like an honest guy but....you can't ever be to sure so I wanted to check with the experts before I invest my hard earned cash. He is asking $3000 for just the unit with no extras. I saw it today and it runs pretty good....didn't check the hot water though.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

if it's just the machine he paid waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for a 4 GPM machine. You could buy an 8 gpm hot water machine for less than $6500. I wouldn't pay 3K for it. You could get a good used 5.6 gpm machine for that or a new one for around $4500... Good Luck.....Be Patient

Thank you for the response. I don't want to insult the guy so do you think offering between 1K - 1500 is fair? For my education, roughly how much does a good quality industrial pressure washer depreciate and what is the average years of use before replacement...5, 10, 15yrs? I see some pretty old machines out there still being used.
If he let it go for 1k, would that be pretty good for an 8 year old machine?

I've bought used machine for hardly nothing. Ones with less than 50 hours for 500

I hate to say it in great shape 1750

Keep in mind sitting is bad. Of it had 1000 more hours knowing it was running would be better to me.

I've bought ones less that 50 hours that needed 1500 in work because sitting is bad.
