How to delete a thread?

I am unable to delete a thread. I followed directions and checked "delete" box, and hit the "delete" button, but I am not authorized to do so. I'm attempting to delete the "Cleaner Times" ad in the for sale forum. Anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks....Bill

Bill why do you want it deleted, if you sold them just put a post saying they have been sold and that will stop others from contacting you.

I suppose I could close it for you but there is nothing there that needs to be concerned about.

use the

edit button,backspace out all the info and just leave a ..............
done[empty post]

No guys wasted space is not good, just simply leave the post and do what Jon suggest. if people started doing that this BBS would be 20% empty posts.

what you did was fine, leaving them completely Blank are no good, I look forward to the magazines,

Please dont ever xxxxxx out a thread, or leave it blank.............just post a reply instead...........leave the original post there so we dont have a bunch of ghost posts floating around.
