how to keep water from pooling up in low ereas

That's a tough one. If you know it's going to be a problem, don't use anymore water than necessary. Sometimes you can blast the water out of the low spot if you have good technique. A lot of the times you just have to let it soak into the grass while you go clean elsewhere. Then come back to it later.

We just use a heavy duty shop broom to push it into the grass.

I can usually get the water to move where I need it to. I start about a foot in and wash it out. I just have to do it repeatedly, until it is mostly gone. It does take practice, but it works for me.

The best part about the sludge pump........NO MOVING PARTS...........

I don't keep it with me, takes up a lot of room with the 100' of 1.25" hose.

When I do a job where I know the water pools in one area, I do bring it with me and it works great!

If you have problem areas like that or have large puddles or large amounts of water to move, try out the sludge pump.

What about a small bilge pump for a boat. Wrap a screen around it. Never tried it. Might work.

Glad you posted that Spencer, I forgot about that. That is a very good idea! Would not cost much to make and small enough to keep on your truck or trailer all the time.

I bet you could make it with garden hose fittings so you could use a regular garden hose to connect when needed so it takes up even less room.

Are you using regular garden hose with that?

Thanks.

Yeap, you are right! Just an old craftsman garden hose!

Yeah, I forgot this one. The broom works great. I like it better than a squeegee because it's easier to push.
