How to Remove GUM NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a heads up for ya Ron. this guy is a member of this forum. No skin off my nose, but I just remembered it.

Well Bigmike a Buddy I'm sure he can take some criticizing. I had Blasting videos up that lost me business before I realized people where judging. So we can help him and his feeling wont be hurt.

Oh that's cool. I just did not know if y'all noticed in the video. I do the same thing when I spot a painter on you-tube doing something crazy and then look harder and actually know them lol.

5k psi and a turbo will get it off faster
j/k

you cant tell the pressure he's using. you cant tell the heat he's using. You cant tell how good the concrete. So I dont think you can or should judge. I've cleaned much and many gum pieces like that and concrete looks fine. I've also hit each piece individually and very carefully and seen damage when it's dry. Unless your the guy with the wand you don't know.

Your right Jon, we do not know. But if your a PM or owner thats suffered the fate of damage it will not get you hired.

If your going to make a gum removal video so the proper methods of removing gum on lower PSI concrete.

Yes you can use 4000 PSI on 8000 psi concrete without damaging it.

The reality is most concrete is sub -standard.

+100 There is so much substandard concrete all over the place, especially new construction, they just don't care anymore or just hire guys that don't know how to work concrete and not weaken it.

Sometimes it is hard to clean substandard concrete without scarring it, very weak stuff where 2000psi or less will shave the cream right off the top, no need to call "The Barber". hahahahaha

Yup I agree you can't really tell whats going on there. He's holding the wand alot with one hand so I would think the PSI isn't that high. If it hits the surface around 800psi and the water temp is 180 degree's or higher the gum flies away or just melts away on impact. Thats how we do it.

This is on a school property we did a couple years ago. my guy with the rinse wand got ahead of the surface cleaner. Concrete was very hard! Like it ought to be, and after the surface cleaner caught up, it looked fine. But I had to wonder if he was learning arabic or something and trying to send a signal.

I have had concrete about a yr old that i hit with a dual lance open all the way with a 25* tip and the cream falls off. Just no way to tell.

I have washed schools and businesses that were over 1 year old, over 5 years old and some that were older than 10 years old and a lot of them the cream will wash off with a little more than 2000psi, some less, some more.

I always check before washing to see what I am dealing with.

I guess you guys are missing the Point, the video can be miss-interpreted just like it is now.

I'm just wondering how he keeps his tennis shoes dry all night. Not to be picking on anyone but if I so much do a 2 minute rinse down somewhere my feet are soaked wearing tennis shoes.
