How's this setup look? need help

Hey guys, I'm looking into getting started full-time and am looking for a rig. It looks to be cheaper to get a used rig as opposed to pieceing together a custom rig. I found this one below for $6,800. They both have honda motors. I've see a few pics of the rig. Would this rig be worth that and perform solid for residential and commercial? If not sure, what more would you need to know to say yay or nay? I appreciate any help you can give!


This trailor was used seasonaly for a residential pressure washing business. All equipment is in great condition. The owner is moving out of town to take up a corporate position. Trailor includes the following;
1. Custom trailor - 2 wheel base with electric brakes - approx value $2800 used
2. 4000 psi heated Pressure washer. - appox value $2500 new
3. 3000 psi pressure washed - approx value $1000
4. 2 x hose reels (4000 psi) 200 ft each - approx value $600
5. 275 gallon water tank custom connected to both pressure washers
6. Water hose and reel - approx value $ $250
7. 30ft Fireman's hose for using hydrant water - approx value $150
8. 2 x rotary pressure washing scubbers. - approx value $1000 used
9. Extended 7ft wand
10: 3 other wands
11. Lots of nozzels
12. Brand new, never been used, 20ft extention want. $250 new.
13. 20ft ladder
14. Safety equipment and lots of cleaning chemicals.

Found out the hot water unit is a Pressure-Pro.

Your numbers look high to me.Is it an enclosed trailer?What size is it?Soe of this stuff is cheaper than you quoted,A 20 extendawand is like a $120.00 new.Hose reels $200.00 if not stainless.The trailer is not rated for the weight if it is a two wheel trailer.Th water alone weighs over 2000 pounds.

How many gpms are the washers?High pressure and no volume is a thing of the past.You need high volume more than high pressure Imo.The Honda motors are a +.If you have pics you will get more feedback.

what size is the trailer?
what is the psi/gpm of the h/w unit and how many hrs on it?
What are the size and brand name of the surface cleaners?

And how old is all this stuff?


Based on your discription I would say 4500.00 tops. Some of the values are too high. I think he is over estimating the value. Sounds like he bought retail +.

I've been emailing with him a couple times today and found out some more info and pics. I'm waiting to call him until I have some opinions on you guys. I'll upload the pics when I get home today. But the equipment is about 2 years old he said. It's an open trailer, tandem axle. It doesn't look custom - unless you think a ladder rack and a few add-ons is custom. Him inflating the price i'm sure. The heated unit is 20hp. I'll find out more and post it. But any other suggestions, comments you have, please post. Thanks!

The new retail price of equipment means absolutely nothing when trying to sell used stuff in my opinion. Everything depreciates big time the moment it leaves the store.

The rig looks nice though, I'm sure it would work for you. Make an offer and go low!

start low, negotiate up. He has started high and will negotiate down. Offer 10 - 15 % below what you are willing to pay. Remember, this guy is leaving town, and doesnt want to take it with him.
