When customers tell me No I am going to do it myself.. I always say OK.. I also tell them if they need any help Just give me a call.. and I give them a card.. The keyword in all of this is HELP... Sure let them do it themselves but hey when it gets to hot are to complicated they will find your card and give you a call... Remember money is money wether you are working for them or helping them it's all the same and you still get paid.. Plus you don't tick them off.. You will also find that when you help them and your work is superior to thiers they will take greater notice of you and they may also tell thier friends that need help with thier projects as well .....
Also don't waste your time , try the sale for 1 minute.. If you can't sell the customer Simply say call me if you ever need some help , leave a business card and then move on to the next customer..
On average you should talk to about 15 to 20 potential customers a day , and on a good week get 1 to 2 accounts..
