Low pressure reading on gage

I am getting a reading of 2200psi out of my cat 45. Does this mean it needs to be rebuild and do you sale the rebuild kit.

It may need rebuilding, your nozzle may be worn, your unloader may be bypassing when it shouldn't, the belts may be loose. Put a new nozzle in, squeeze the gun and check pressure. If it's still low, and while the gun is squeezed, get some pliers and pinch the bypass hose to see if the pressure builds any. Double check the belts for tightness, the we'll talk about a rebuild.

Ok thanks will do this is the one I was having trouble with the burner also. Can the problems be related.

Are you still having burner problems? That was back in Sept. You never got back, so I guessed that you had it figured out. Did you ever check the engine rpms? That could affect the burner and the pump.

Go troubleshooting points Russ J, I had low pressure reading before, guess what it was , ...... bad gauge, but the gun felt more or less the same so I was not worried to much.

I am guessing this is not the case with your setup Robert P

Will do I have another gage and will also recheck with that gage. No still having a burner problem it's driving me crazy. It will burn just fine sometimes for one job sometimes three. Then other times not work but for the first 30 minutes. I checked the out put on the generator and that was good even double checked by pluging into the wall outlet. I just started checking it because I felt I was loss some cleaning effects with my surface cleaner. Changed the jets still no help.

What type of surface cleaner?

Did you know the BE/Whirlway models have their "seal leak port" is under the deck, so if it is leaking it would reduce pressure and flow to the cleaning nozzles of the surface cleaner, and you may not know it, and thus lower gauge pressure
