I currently clean residential and commercial air ducts and would like to expand my work to include kitchen exhaust cleaning. I would like to help someone who cleans restaurant hoods and ducts without pay, just for the experience. I've studied Delco's videos, the IKECA exhaust cleaning procedures, and researched the internet considerably, so I'm aware of the grime. Also, I'm no stranger to hard work, and would more than carry my own weight. If you're interested in cleaning air ducts, this could be a double blessing. Cleaning is only one part to a hood, whos going to teach you codes, My best advice is spend a little money, get trained properly and then go clean a hood.
Once these restaurants question your ability, or skill, You will not be back, I bet you a BILL on that one.
Dont let a video make you think its easy, Its suppose to look easy, its a video.
Sorry I sound so negative, But this is serious business. I only ask and answer questions on this board about hood cleaning, these are the true professionals.

How I wish that being trained would just be "a little money" Matt. By the time the school is paid, airplane tickets are bought, and room and board is paid for, the money is no longer "little" in my case. There would go all the money that I plan to use to buy decent equipment. I feel that since I've done other things sucessfully that people say can't be done without school, such as air duct cleaning (Including building the machinery), and since I think I'm fairly handy, I can do this as well. I can only work with what's available to me. Thanks for your advise. Zeke.
