Masonry Building cleaning / restoration

Got a call to bid out the cleaning of this building. Obviously masonry and I'm guessing at least from the 30's. Going out to look at it tomorrow but I thought I might pick a few brains for those who have done so.

When I did my test spots one was with onerestore and one was with a strong house wash mix both worked great but the cost of the house wash mix is far less, now that being said I clean a lot of brick and I use eaco chem products everyday and they have great products and they will answer any questions you will have. With a building that large you need to do some test spots the church that I did was right on the square in town and I had to becareful too,if you have any questions give me a call I'd be glad to give you my 2 cents.

Aaron has always been very helpful to me on any tough brick masonry challenges I face. He is a wealth of knowledge

Hey Greg another place you can contact is www.prosoco.com and talk to the sales rep there. Ask them if you can send a picture of what it is that your going to clean or just use the site you got that pic from and have them look at it as well.
Best though if you can take pics tomorrow and show them some close up shots of what has to be cleaned. From here it looks like Limestone..
That would be one heck of job to get for your web portfolio if you get that job.
Best of luck.

Thanks John - It's block masonry with limestone caps and columns I believe. Leaving now to get a closer look at it. Unfortunately the bid has to be in by Friday at noon and they didn't request it until yesterday so I'm a bit short on time. Sampling one restore and sh this morning to see what kind of results I get. Can't wash an area as it's about 4 degrees out here.

Stopped out to measure and scope out the project today. Finalized the bid and its been sent off. Unfortunately it will probably go to the low bidder but the scope of the project involves removing the vines and restoring the entire exterior with the window exteriors being cleaned when complete. Factored in 766 2 step from to be on the safe side and if it needs less all the better. These are always tough to bid as you don't want to leave money on the table but pricing among bids can sway 10's of thousands.

Didn't get it and I'm not sure they ever awarded it. After bids were submitted they changed the due by date and went to an outside company to pull bids. I'll have to check into it and see if anything was ever done. As of 2 months ago it still looked like hell.
