My Deck

Hello fellow PW's, I was wondering what some of you used for cleaning wood decks. I cleaned my deck last year with Wolman Deck and Fence Brightener, then I sealed it with Wolman Raincoat, tinted water repellant. I've seen videos online and some of the chems used seemed more effective. If anyone would like to share some info, I would really appreciate it. What is the best (opinion wise) chems to use for wood and what would be the best application?

2 methods for application are:

Pump sprayer and downstreaming. Downstreaming is faster, but you usually get a weaker mix on the deck unless you know how to kick it up a bit. You really should not downstream the powders as it is kind of ineffective as far as I have seen.

If you want to downstream I think they make a injection chem from ...Scott at the Sealer Store called PowerSolve.

If you want to pump spray the deck you need to get a better pump than from HD or Blows... This Heavy duty Sprayer will work.

The chemicals of choice for me can be found at ACR Products INC. I use are 760 Deck Strip and to boost it I add 633 ADD. If you deck does have ADD with the hard to remove stains, then give Tom a call.

Also, Tom carries both Ready Seal and Armstrong clark stains. Both in my opinion are great products...

Hope this helps some... and tell Tom I sent ya if you give him a ring...

Thank you sir, I appreciate your input. I'll look into these products and if i purchase them I'll be sure to mention your name.

For Decks I use a product called Rip It (frpm sunbrite), Also use their neutralizer. We then Sand the deck (if applicable) and we no longer use ready seal, but have switched to Armstrong's.
