My new website

faq

John in the FAQ section the question about the process harming plants was entered 3 times. I presume that's the most asked question??

You did a GREAT JOB on that site.

John nice web site, is it possible to move your picture and logo a bit more to the left or make it a bit smaller so the whole screen on the right opens.

That way the customer does not need scroll to see it all.

Other then that sure looks good indeed.

Hi John,

Great improvements over the previous version!

That's a hot setup. As far as suggestions: I would just ditch the scrool bar on the main page, shrink the pictures so that they fit the pages (which would also improve your load time) and wipe out the duplicate text.

My hat is off to you!

Jon,

Exactly. However, John may not be seeing the same picture as you or me depending on his screen settings.

Thanks everyone! If your browser is set for full view, everything should fit. As far as the size of the pics...If you notice, you can click on the pics on the Home page; does the link work for you? Do you see the same pic, but larger? If that works, then I can shrink everthing down to expandable thumbnails. As for the FAQ's, I was cuttin' an' a pastin' to make new blocks, and forgot to go back and edit; they're gone now. I'm not sure I can shrink the pic/logo on the left, but I will try.

Anything else? Thanks again.

John,

When I click on a picture it gives me a Cannot display this page warning.

Could be my IE brower or another reason but not sure.

Wait and see what others say when they try it.

Still a good web site, you done your homework.

Great Job John---

I think the "low-pressure/no pressure" system is a beautiful sales pitch. It has me wondering how you do it, and i am a pressure washer!!! I think if a potential customer looks at your site, you will get calls because of the curiousity your methods produce. Site looks good, easy to navigate, clear pics, loaded fast,.....all the necessary functions for an informative site that is interesting to look at! Good work, have a great year!!

low pressure

Yep, that low pressure process you advertise really got the hook in me to.

I only pressure wash houses for my friends and sometimes the mess I make is so bad that I wonder if they're still going to be friends when I'm finished.

I think you'll do really well with this.

Hi! :)
If you want to adjust the photo size just adjust the Width and Height attributes, but make sure they are in proportion to one another so the photo comes out looking the same. Also, I didn't look to see if they were .gif files or .jpg files but a .gif will load faster. (lower resolution) You'll always trade resolution for load time.

Looks good :)

Beth

hey John Orr,

Myself and others said you really hooked us with the 'low pressure' angle........just wanted to clarify that we don't want to know what it is!!! Kidding, but my point of saying that was not to try and get you to put it on the site. The curiosity is the best part, as i believe you are soon to find out.

I just did not want you to take the wrong thing from what myself and others said, our comments were not a suggestion that the information be on your site. Have a great week buddy,

Jon Fife

Again, thank you all for your feedback.

Beth, the pics are jpg. I was thinking that I would rather have highr quality for these pics. I have resized them, so they do load faster than my old site. What I haven't figured out (yet) is how to successfully link the smaller pics to files of bigger pics.

As to my method, I'm not sure I really want to divulge that online. As in any business, being different than the competition can mean the difference between $$ or no $$. I will say, though, that when I started, I didn't have a mchine!

John,

What's your email address? I have a script that I'll send you. It does exactly what you want to do.

John,
Consider creating animated .gifs with the before and afters in rotation.

Also, you can keep the resolution on a .gif higher if you like. One thing to remember is that some programs will strip the pixels out when they drop the resolution, and you end up witha splotchy photo....

There are programs that will not take out the color, and can convert the files, and maintain the resolution.

:)

Beth

Ok, made a bunch of changes. All pic links now work, so clicking on a small pic will take you to a larger one and clicking on the larger one will take you back.

Beth, thank you for your input and I'm sure I'll try it.

By the way, if anyone is interested, the program I am using is a free download and if you buy it its $69. Email me if you want the url...and no, I'm not a rep! lol

No Pressure Brush Washed

Hi John, When we started we did not have a machine either. We did it the old fashion way with a brush. Would you believe those same people are still calling us years later. Some feel the Brush Method is better. Not bad on clean Vinyl houses if they keep them up,but if they are dirty the Pressure Washer is all we use. Anna
