What copany's are there that do power washing insurance other than Jim Walters? My policy exprires at the end of this month and I am trying to find something cheaper than what I have now.

Our GL is through Colony Insurance Company out of Virginia. We're in NC so evidently you don't have to be in VA to get coverage. Check with a local agent in your area to see if they can write the policy through their office. We have $2mil aggregate with a $500 deductible - premium runs us about $1600/year.

We are with State Farm for our CGL.
My understanding from the agent is that it was a bit of a tough sell to the underwriting staff (State Farm has some stringent guidelines from what I understand), but the deal went through and we are much happier with them than the last company.
Similar to Celeste and Roger, we carry a $2,000,000 policy, plus equipment loss protection.

Man - State Fart would not even talk to us and we've been customers for 20+ years for auto, residential & commercial auto. Agent told us that State Farm will absolutely NOT cover pressure washing in any way, shape or form.

That is why it is important to have a really good agent. We have our insurance through Farmers. We hav ebeen with the same agent for about 15 years now.

Do you have Joe Walters insurance now and if so what is the problem with it?? I'm insured by Joe Walters and I pay around $1300/yr for $2,000,000 policy and Equipment coverage in case of theft.

Joe Walters beat out all other companies that I got prices from in my area.

Do the amounts that you guys listed included workmans comp or just your liability, and equipment insurance.

I went with Brooke Insurance in San Antonio. Email me and I will give you the phone number as there are different offices with the same name. I tried the local Brooke Insurance and they told me they do not cover Pressure Washing. My buddy in San Antonio has used Brooke Insurance for several years now so I called them and went with them. It was about $1040.00 for a Million in coverage for a year.

kjones,

General Liability and Workers Comp are two separate policies......our GL is $1300/$2M in coverage. WC is minimum $850/year in NC then increases about $14.00/$1000 of payroll.

You should have both - for your protection and your customer's.

Correction.....GL is closer to $1600/year including equip coverage.
