So I just got a phone call from a pesticide spraying company in my area asking my methods for washing house. So I told him I downstream my house wash mix under low pressure and then rinse using the same pressure. Basically he is looking for a company that he can suggest. Company policy doesn't allow them to actually use a full referral system for reasons I completely understand. Anyway I have 2 machines setup to wash home with but only have 1 employee that just started about a month ago. The guy from the company is estimating that he does roughly 6-700 house per summer. Obviously I wouldn't wash them all but even at just 10% I would be completely overwhelmed. Any advice on how to attack this would be great.
Thanks guys.

This might not be the best way to handle this, but I would offer him 10% of the total bill for each job you get through him. Remember, cash is king.

1 at a time IF it happens. Don't hold your breath that happens. Can't tell you how many times I have heard offers like that. Rarely if ever do they happen, but hey keep open contact w the guy. You never know.

I was pretty skeptical at first of course. Then I remembered he called me and actually wants to come to my shop tomorrow to sit down and talk. Just wondering if any of you guys are in or have been in a similar situation. I really don't want to screw it up since the spraying is a recurring yearly event. A majority of houses I currently do wash are in preparation for this service so I know it's possible. Also I currently run 2 ts2021 pumps and have been debating getting a bigger cold machine from Paul or I should say Bill. Haha. Is 1 8 gpm good or better off running 2 guys and 2 5.6 machines?

Like Doug said one at a time.He might be looking at your company and just using you to learn. He might have a brother, cousin just waiting to start washing they just need info from you to get started.I wouldnt tell him anything about the proccess just guarantee the end result to be a clean house and go from there.

Lol I get this told to me every month. I would be willing to place a good bet with you that you don't get more than 10 houses from the guy.....if any. I have tons of people tell me this same thing every month and it's the same with all of them. Just treat him as you would any other client, give him a stack of cards, and don't give it another thought. Cross the "too much workload" bridge when you get to it.

I have a few companies call me each year telling me something similar but sure do ask a lot of questions, questions like if they are starting their own pressure cleaning business.

I will not meet anyone here but I will meet with them at their shop, that is about where they start saying how busy they are and cannot meet at their place, blah, blah, blah.

I have not had one meet with me yet but if one was really serious, I would offer them a commission on the houses washed, not bad for a little bit of their time.

I have known this guy for almost 10 years through my previous employment. I live in a very small rural area and am the only company within 60 miles using the professional method of house washing. And Im sure of that cause I know all 2 of my competitors who spray some menards house wash on the siding and brush it followed by high pressure rinse. Just wondering if say a 10% commission was something to go with. I have to go over 100 miles just to get to a town of 100k so my market is small but I want as much of the pie as I can get.

I'm on the other side of the fence than most above, I have worked close with several companies in my area that do all kinds of work that homeowners & business they have all sent me tons of jobs and in return I send them work when ask! It has really helped me out a lot. One is a guy that I have came good friends with and he does window cleaning (since I hate windows) together we are the best sending each other jobs and he or any of the other guys are in no way interested in doing any pressure washing! You can find out it they are by asking some simple questions and doing some other things
