Just got the news that the Head our Honda GX390 "Clone" is toast. We cannot justify sinking another $300 in it, and we really don't have $1,000 for a new engine at this juncture.

We need at least 16HP to run the Ts2021...

Anybody???
:bow-down:

It might be worth the risk at that price.

Guess it's settled!

Good deal, just need a couple hundred more hours on the rig.
We'll for sure start socking money away for the "Big Dog" Honda, though!

Next question then...

Had a hell of a time trying to get Pump Bushing off when i swapped out pumps a few months ago.

What's the recommended puller for the Pulley on the motor?

A torch for heat, a three arm puller and patience

Wow, lean manufacturing, can drive prices down.

Anyone ever tried or head of the performance of the engine envirospec used to sell "zongshen engine" back then they only had a foreign website, now they have an American plant.

There is also another engine manufacture in California that has 16Hp electric start engine , but I cant remember their name.

Seem like the duromax is big in the go kart world.

I have a 16hp Briggs V-twin with electric start on hand if anyone is in need. The motor is brand new - never had oil in it even. It was a secondary should a motor go down. $600 plus shipping to you.

This has a fuel pump built in to it so you need an auxilary tank.

Greg, What would shipping be to 07675?? I was looking for a spare 13hp, but the 16 would work..... Put me first in line until we can work it out. Thanks, Mike

Im guessing around $70 - it's prob around 90 lbs. The motor has the electric start all set up on it but for wahtever reason doesn't come with the actual keyswitch. Wasn't an issue for me as we would just swap it over from the original motor but so your aware.

I've always had the pulleys that you 'press' out with the bolts that hold it on. You take the bolts and screw them into the other holes a little at a time and it pushes the sheave out.

Update!

Oh yeah,

This is what ya get for a $100 on C/L...

At least we're back to work, and eventually our Boy's will have an Awesome Go Kart Motor!

Nice score. I hope it lasts long enough to be able to pay for a 16 Horse motor.
