Ok guys, once again I have a site that is focusing on getting you work. This site will not apply to most southern contractors unless you are near some mountains.

No the smokies do not count as mountains. :yikes:

Right now it only has Portland, Maine in there for a city but when I get done Saturday, I will have a page for every city over the population of say 25k. I can add more cities/towns as needed.

You can be listed in multiple locations
Leads go directly to you

Cost is going to be $100 for the entire year. For a 4 month season, that amounts to $25 per month. I am not going to bs you and tell you that it goes to paying the hosting because we all know that is cheap but it will go towards the ranking of the site for every location with emphasis on the areas where we have people listed.

I hope that this will help you to increase business and revenue. The deck staining site certainly helped some this past year.
 
That sounds like a winner to me. Any resources for training and pricing advice? I am planning on getting into this line of work but have never done it before. Getting featured on your site for ice dam removal in Iowa looks like a great way to start.
 
This sounds like a good idea for the guys up north.

I would also have guys listed that will/can train the guys that want to learn how to do this also, just my opinion.
 
We will be offering a certificaton for completion of the ice dam removal course as part of the NCE training programs in December/January dates to be determined.

No plans for that kind of thing. I will leave that to NCE, that is what they do. I build sites and rank them, that is what I am good at.

I am constantly locating new themes and tools to make the sites better. The theme used on the disease site is the exact same theme as the ice dam removal but it has many templates to the theme. The best thing is that it loads quickly.
 
Pat builds great sites. And his seo work is great too. I highly recommend him and his services. I've never talked to anyone that has used him that expressed even the slightes hint of dissatisfaction or dissappointment.

I appreciate it guys. However this thread is about the ice dam removal site. I don't want to get too far off track as this can be a lucrative add on for those that live in areas that require the service. Hell from what I hear, one job pays for the listing.
 
Ok it is finally finished. It took a little longer than expected but there is now over 900 cities listed that have over 20k in population.

Anyone can sign up but there will only be one contractor per city. I could do an area but in some areas that would not be enough while in others it would be too much and unfair to other contractors like on the east coast where people are stacked like cord wood.

So with that here is what I am going to do.

1st City $100
2nd thru 5th City save 25% on these 4 cities
6th and up save 50%

If you do the math

10 cities would be $1000 normally but with the discounts the total would end up being $650 for the year for a savings of 35%. Three jobs would pay for the entire year of 10 cities.
 
I am surprised at how well the site is doing already as it has only been 4 days. Some cities are already on page one. For maryland it ranks #3 and not all the pages are even indexed yet. I hope that this can get you all some more work as I rank it. This is actually getting to be kind of fun.
 
This is going to take less effort to rank the pages than I initially thought. Several state searches are now on page one. Some state searches have 3 pages right at the top of the listings. Being that this was a new one for me I just pulled the price based on roughly 1/2 of the cost of a low end job but upon further review, I have decided to change the pricing to make it even more beneficial for you. Hell we all have to work out pricing at one time or another.

I am making this simple and the final change.... $30 per city per year. Each city is exclusive also, no one else will be listed in that city. You will also get a 336x280 ad space and the listing on the map.

Take a look at the site http://icedamremovalin.com I have individual pages for every city over 20k. Some areas I did not do yet because I doubt California has a lot of that need but if you do not see a city and need one added, I would be glad to accomodate you with that.
 
LOL I've seen the parkas come out there at 45 degrees... LOL What about Flagstaff any issue with ice dams there? Probably not but they do get snow.
