Hello guys, i have been reading over the board and i think that is great how some of u guys will even offer your phone numbers to help the next man. I have ran my own pallet business for the last 7 years, but now i am making the change to pressure washing, i know you guys get these type of newbie posts all the time, but if any of you can give me some very important quick tips, it would be appreciated. I have not bought any equipment as of yet. I also do small concrete walkways as well as paving with brick and flagstone. Again i am happy i found this board, and look forward to learning from each of you in the near future. One more thing, i will be targeting both commercial and residential jobs. I will have to start off slow because i do not know that much about the business, again i look forward to learning what i can here.

Hi there! The best advice I can give you is this... read this BBS and read it often. My husband and I are also just starting and we don't have our equipment either. These guys are a fountain of knowledge... don't know where we'd be without them. Welcome.

No need to start off slow with the resources available to you today. Between the online bulletin boards, and the PWNA seminars, you can hit the ground running. You can literally spend hours a day reading all of this info on here...........and the next PWNA show is coming up in October in Pittsburgh, PA..........it gives you the opportunity to meet other pressure washing contractors one on one, and have interactive conversations, the value of which is far greater then any online bulletin board or phone conversation. These were critical to the early success of my business five years ago. www.pwna.org

Read these and other online forums carefully, don't be afraid to post ANY question, just make sure you post it in the appropriate forum. Use the search function, you will find alot of your questions have already been answered previously.

If you are interested in commercial cleaning, you should shoot for a 3000psi@5 GPM Hot water machine and a surface cleaner would be a real good idea (basically like a lawn mower that pressure washes).

Good luck, happy reading.
