New roof cleaning association

The map is still a work in progress and will be seeing some changes soon. If you click on a state, then a county that has a member, their website will open. True, it's hard find a cleaner the way it is now. The summer has been busy for most so some of the things that were being worked on in the spring were set aside until this fall. One of the coming changes is to have a name, logo, etc on the state maps to find a company much easier.

Welcome Bret

Yes I do work in the field running our Florida biz in the summer, pics of me working would be nice, but I am always the one taking them of jobs or my guys working. I will get a few over the next week but here is one with one of my favorite shirts! Look familiar? Crappy pic, Randy is not a photographer by any means

Great to see you Kim, your in the field a bit? YES

Any Photos of you ?

Brett forgot to mention the fee for map placement is only $5.00 a county and gets paid to the web designer not the association. Basically designed for contractors by contractors. Pretty simple stuff as many guys in this industry have diverse backgrounds and extensive knowledge added to being assembled into one group makes for some great teamwork and brainstorming of ideas.

What's up Kim! Been a while! I'm confused...the link above goes to the RCIA. Bruce has his own gig? Does it have a forum?
I think I'm going to get with Art O and start a dedicated, free roof cleaning forum...wide open. Then merge with you Ron!!! haha :)

Seriously though Ron, I ran a political board much smaller then this a few years ago and I do not know how you do it man. It's a LOT of work! My hat goes off to you to be able to run this board AND a biz at the same time!

Opening a New roof Cleaning Forum Soon

They are the ones that wanted AC booted and they formed this behind Chris back.

I knew Chris long before I knew any of the great folks on PRCA.
I talked with Chris about this on the phone. He knew all about it. He was neither for nor against us.
Clearly, he did see AC in the end as we did.
Thus, AC was booted. Only a few people could stomach AC and you have to KNOW that is true!
The kind of people who are always getting into one MLM after another and trying to cash in on their friends and family.
Some may disagree, I don't care. I tell it like "I SEE IT"
You tell it like you see it.
I know that RCIA is a much better place with AC gone.
With him there 90% of everything posted, related to him or what he was selling.
Sorry, I'm not much at pussy footing around. Too old for that anymore.
I'm sure one of his "back up boys" will put me in my place soon! :)
Let's see which one jumps first? :)

There is another plugin that does not look as pretty but it does put pins on the map. And it is free... Best price ever. It is also very easy for you to add the people to the map. I have one on http://deckstainingtips.com/find-an-applicator/ You can also search by your address and get the nearest business. It think it is called store locator or something like that. I can get the specific one for you if you want.

Free maps might be good but how many people can actually find it? It's hard enough to get them to search for roof cleaning much less find a map. PRCA was set up to educate first, before anything else. PRCA map fee is for the web designer as Kim stated. A small fee to pay. PRCA is already doing well considering the little work has gone into it since spring. We knew it would take time to get it right so it sat all summer, waiting for the winter and some new and better changes. The PRCA site has been up for a while but little has been done to bring in new members. All of what Chuck stated is so very true and PRCA was born due to a lot of what happened. Hence the name, Professional Roof Cleaners Association.

Depends on who you are marketing to and how it's SEO'd. The roof cleaning contractors site is a directory of roof cleaners, PRCA is an association. One is targeting home owners and the other is targeting roof cleaners.

Hey Ray Hows it going? Good on this end here, the link you clicked is not the link for PRCA it was the one many thought was it, but was not.
Here it is :

Our private forum is of no charge, Bruce has been paying the bill for it. It is small and not the focus of the site. The PRCA consumer awareness/educational site is the priority not a forum or SEO postings etc. What Ron does is great and not for meek to run, but not the goal of PRCA. For SEO postings there already is many great places to do promo posts etc., places like PWI it would be impossible to beat let alone the high maintenance involved.
Hope that clears things up a bit.

That is not the point. The point is that your map is too hard for businesses to be found. The map listing on the deck staining site has actually shown up in local searches. The free part is that it costs you nothing.

Just trying to help you make it easier for consumers to actually find a member.

Nice map and user friendly, will pass your info on to the web designer and Bruce.
The problem with most of all the maps A) consumers finding them B) filling them w/contractors.
No one can go wrong with the many directorys that are available online or in print, to be listed on multiple platforms widens the net for the contractor, as consumer web search's can be unpredictable.
Thanks for the heads up Pat.
