Any reason to pick one of these two over the other? Same engine and pump.
Dewalt costs a little less.

1. Pressure-Pro
E4040-HC, 4000psi, 4gpm, Honda GX390, CAT DX66 pump

2. Dewalt
DXPW 60605, 4200psi, 4gpm, Honda GX390, CAT DX66 pump

They're essentially the same. That unit isn't actually made by Dewalt, it's made under license using that name.

If you're pricing those two out where I think you are, you'd be better off going with a belt drive with a general pump from one of the vendors that frequent the boards. You'll be in at about the same price and have a belt drive unit if you want to roll with a tank in your trailer. If you're doing residential you're going to run into situations where there isn't going to be 4gpm at the spigot.

We did a job last week where they had all of about 2gpm at the spigot, that's why we're running a tank in the trailer. I honestly don't think I'd even consider running without a tank.

Thanks for the response. This is for my home use to clean my skid loader, misc toys and will be used maybe 6 times a year.
I also have a constant pressure well pump that will provide water upon demand.

Those are the same. It boils down to what the best price is. For commercial use I would recommend neither.

Also, if you buy from one of the vendors here, for a couple of bucks more, they usually offer technical assistant, you can give them a call if you have any problem with the machine, which tips you need, plumbing... big box stores doesn't offer that.

I ordered the Pressure-Pro with hose reel option.
As stated before, this is for home use only so it should last me years.
Thanks for the responses

I am also looking into the Dewalt unit....either that one or the 3800psi 3.5GPM strictly for residential use on a small trailer set-up and some light commercial work....my question is this, how many "cleaning units" (PSIxGPM) do yall think surfices for this? I have been washing for 3 years with a similar set-up and fixing to purchase another washer...I read on several websites that 9000 cleaning units is the mark for adaquate commercial stuff but that equates to about a 3000PSI washer with only 2.7GPM put out....thats not very much and surely wouldnt work for parking lots, grease and grime, etc....I'm a small business thats slowly growing. Please help....would the 13,500 cleaning units be plenty? Im thinking 3.5GPM is adaquate for 20" suraface cleaner as far as speed goes and so on for residential use.

How much does the portable hydrotek 3200psi 3.6GPM run price wise?

try to get at least a 5.6gpm at 3500 psi.....if you only have 3.5 gpm it will never work for doing commercial pressure washing

Can you spec new hotwater washers with two high pressure ports?
