No off property discharge Pressure Washing

I clean numerous properties that have similar set ups.

Mother nature has an awesome filtering system

I wonder if anyone has ever considered retrofitting properties to permanent or even temporary drainage to landscaping?

A lot of new propeties I see are being designed that way now in this area. They had so many problems with flooding that they decided to let mother nature do some of the work...

The stormwater people today told me that all new construction in the past 15 or so years has been based on this type of thinking.

With Robert and Jim going around giving talks about how deck resurfacing, house and building washing, and restaurant cleaning is contaminating the ground waters I asked the storm water authority:

"What about future concerns about groundwater contamination?"

The response was:

"That would be a little silly wouldn't it considering we and the EPA are now pushing for permeable parking areas for the sole purpose of putting it in the ground instead of the storm drain!!"

All these crazy ridiculous claims that only result in the sales of more unnecessary power equipment will all unravel in the end and be shown as the biggest hoax ever played on our industry.

EPA recommended permeable parking areas - I just want to stop and comprehend that and the implications for a minute.

No hoax here..
For All you guys that invest in Vacuuming Surface cleaners..
MORE markets are unfolding.. contracts will SOON be available in..
.. Pervious Pavement Cleaning..
that's right.. all that "expensive" pervious pavement is worthless,
if it cannot be cleaned,
and we (again,) have the most profit-generating equipment on this planet.
"Instant-capture" cleaning equipment will always be the leading edge of this industry,
and you "pollution Control Specialists" will profit from it.

..and I am SO glad I can sell for functionality, and NEVER a "scare tactic".
I'm just sayin'..
Tony gets a bit emotional sometimes :{p
LOL

It is quite sad though, there are the guys that "smear the point",
making it less clear what is and isn't "sustainable" around these jobsites.
Twisting the point is a manipulation that turns my stomach too.
..I feel ya Tony !
This is why I do the Wash Water Control seminars..
you ALL NEED to know what's real, and sustainable. Eh?

Keep up the good work Jerry!

We use Jerry's equipment because it is affordable and reliable. And the information and training he provides is sensible and logical.

I never thought about your job Tony, reclaim? is that difficult? or do you catch it at the bottom?

We can filter on the roof if necessary. The most restrictive state requires an inexpensive annual permit to clean with no filtration at all. Otherwise there are no requirements I am aware of.

Realize we are just washing off airborne dust that otherwise lands on the roof and gets washed down by the rain anyway.
