northern tool trailer set up??????????

Danny Bates used to have a Northern machine. I am sure he will wander through and give his opinion ioion, and eventually.
 
You could build one with better components or get one used for less money.

I have seen as many as 3 of those in their parking lot in San Antonio waiting to be repaired, I was told that they don't have their own mechanic so they have to get one to their site or have the rigs towed to a shop to be repaired.

There are only so many brands of engines, pumps, etc.... but I was told that how they are put together is what makes a big difference.

This time of year until around April you will see a lot of rigs on ebay, craigslist and the local papers for sale.
 
wait 'til you see what the coil is..
inside that big stout-looking 18" dia. stainless shell..
is a wimpy little chunk of a coil.. it might be 12'' high, and 14" dia.. ..maybe.
..and you thought you wanted "heat" .. .. LOL
NO DEAL !

STOP Shopping for cheap, or that's exactly what you'll get !
 
steven you could build a trailer better than that for less money. I don't think the design on that setup is very practical either, you have no versatility to move things around, no room for chems or surface cleaner, or other equipment or roof cleaning pump or housewash tank, etc, etc. Its just a hot water pressure washer with a tank and hose on wheels.
 
These guys know what they are talking about! For 11k you could be a really good machine used that will out last and preform the northern tool rig hands down. I would take their suggestions and wait a few weeks till a good unit come for sell on ebay or CL!

I just built an entire enclosed trailer setup for under 11k. New machine, tanks, reels, hoses and everything. That was with the 7x14 tandem trailer. Do some more looking around. Or save up and build exactly what you want.

nice, everyones right I need to wait. i just got the bug. if i do my homework i can set it up exactly the way i need to. thanks for slowing my roll everyone.

I can set you up with an 8gpm alkota on an 18x7 open trailer with twin 6,000lb axles, reels, hose and plumbed up for alot less than $11k.. The only hitch is you would have to come to NJ. Alkota is a 120volt skid 545 hours and pump is being rebuilt this week (it was fed wrong with a single 3/4 inch feed). It has a 25hp Kohler and AR pump. The tank is 535 gallons and the reels are cox with low pressure feed as well as high pressure. I will put it all together for you and have it ready to go. This is alot better than a Northern Tool unit.. This is a professional grade quality piece. I have pics of the trailer and machine on PT State.
