Nozzles and Surface Cleaner Newbie Question

So I am pretty sure I understand nozzle sizes now, as this site was helpful in explaining a lot about pressure washing nozzles http://www.ultimatew...ay-nozzles.htm . So my new surface cleaner, Whisper Wash Classic came with 2502 nozzles in the bar. Correct me if I am wrong but those are way to small for my machine 5.6 GPM 3500 psi. One they are going to overwork my machine and two put way to much pressure on the concrete. If I want to lower the pressure to about 2500 psi I would want to use like a 2507 nozzle correct?

The correct nozzle for your gun will be a number 6 orifice so if you want to use a 15 degree nozzle you will use a 1506, a 25 degree nozzle it will be a 2506, etc....

For surface cleaners with 2 nozzles, divide the orifice size by 2 so you will need 2 of the number 3 orifice so if you are going to use 25 degree nozzles in the classic, get 2 of the 2503 nozzles, if you have harder to clean surfaces you will need 2 of the 1503 nozzles.

You are correct, for the 2500psi, you will need a number 7 orifice for the gun but in the surface cleaner you will need 2 of the number 3.5 orifice nozzles in the fan pattern you want to use.

Chris thanks for the info that is a huge, huge help!

Before running the surface cleaner, always do a test spot out of the way to see if the concrete can handle pressure or lots of pressure as more and more concrete these days is substandard even though it looks ok, a lot of it cannot handle much pressure.

If you have not seen concrete damaged pictures, there are many here and on other forums.

With testing you will see how much pressure (if any) the concrete can handle so you can adjust your pressure with nozzles or the unloader.

Good luck.
