Buna-N o-rings suck for anything more than 2000psi cold..
everybody knows you want Viton for QC's to last at all,
and any upgrades in a pump system that use O-rings in a "moving" position.. are better off with Viton.
Now that 4000psi is more the industry standard for delivering water through long lengths of hose,
and more applications are requiring 5000, 6000, and more pressure,
.. and temperature are going all the way to full steam..
O-rings in QC's have become a real P.I.T.A. topic.. Ask anyone that goes over 220 degrees at over 3500 psi
My question is..
Who has tried Silicone, Urethane, or other version O-rings in these abusive applications ?
..and What were the results you got ??
