Durbin would have blown a gasket just signing in!:rotflmao1:For you guys who haven't met Bill, I wouldn't judge him so fast. He's a pretty good guy in person plus he seems to handle himself pretty well here on the boards. In similar circumstances who doubts that Durbin would have blown a gasket by now in this thread?
Imagine making $2000 per day cleaning and taking time out to train three guys at $500.00 each. It doesn't sound like a huge money making proposition to me. It sounds like he's just trying to keep from losing money on it.
Good Point Scott, but Chris spends 1/2 of his waking life on the phone, answering questions for free. Sorry to say that after 14 years of doing this, I am burnt out old friend. Many of you have no idea just how big roof cleaning has become lately ? I get from 1 to 3 calls a day from people wanting to "pick my brain" in between TV Shows, like Thad pointed out. Between my roof cleaning business, running the RCIA Forum, etc, etc, etc, I just don't have the time anymore to spend with people I once did. Bill offers a place to send these people to. I wish him well in his venture, and he has my "blessing".Intereting concept, but if it was me I would call Chris Tucker from Apple roof cleaning in Tampa. He gives advice free, and I dont think there is a comparison in knowledge. He proved his knowledge on these forums a long time ago.

My Lungs are shot from all the chemical exposure from thousands of roofs I have personally cleaned, and my right wrist needs replaced (Severe Osteoarthritis). MY roof cleaning days are pretty well done, and trainees are just a PITA for my employees trying to make a living in this whored out Tampa Economy. To train them correctly, they slow us down enough it effects our ABILITY to clean enough roofs to survive. I just don't want to be bothered with it.
I am finding that lately, it takes everything I can do just to survive in the roof cleaning business here in Tampa.
There is sooo much competition here I spend well over an hour, and often more, with each shopper, fighting against people I taught directly or indirectly in the first place !
That is a real "special " feeling.
I feel comfortable with Bill doing Hands On Roof Cleaning Training, and I support him.
Actually we have stopped advertising our training program. It just took too much time from the main business. If we fire it up again I will announce it. We leave the ads up that already exist and take calls for it. We had maybe 8 last year that called and trained our last group in the early 2012 season. I still do lots of free consulting and events with free seminars. And we never charged the fee on their for consulting, just the training day.
