Hey guys,
Thaught I'd share my pain with you!! I do have a full time job and pressure washing is my part time gig (hopefully to become full time in the future), but anyway.

Wednesday night my boss ran over my foot with a 6,000 lb forklift.
Went to the emergency room and had all the x-rays done, all that stuff. Its broken in a couple different places. Ive yet to see an ortho because workers comp is the most un-organised group of individuals that ive ever seen. So im about to go insane sitting here all day, not being able to get up and walk whenever I want too.

Oh yeah I have A job that has to be finished by this weekend  So this should be interesting!!

Been there, done that. Unfortunately there is not much they can do for broken toes. If there is damage to the metatarsal bones or the phalanges joints, they can be repaired surgically.
Bottom line, you're in for some pain and aggravation for some time. Enjoy your pain meds.
Don't let the insurance company slow play you too long, if those broken bones start to fuse, they will need to be re broken before they can be repaired.

No, I am not a medical Doctor, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night.

My first hand(foot) experience comes from operating heavy equipment for 33 years. Had my right foot run over once, broke 7 bones. Same thing happened to a fellow employee years later, he was wearing steel toe boots. The steel crushed all 5 toes and had to have them all amputated.

The doctor told me its a good thing I wasnt wearing steel toes. The funny thing is that its a company requirement, I just had not put them on for the night yet. Its my fifth meatatarsel thats broken in 2 places, and my two little toes were crushed so bad that there was blood coming out from between my toes.

I have a feeling you will have more post this week than ever before. lol
It sucks not being able to do anything.
Yah ive been sittin here waiting on new posts!!!:D LOL

Well we have got Wet Foot, Big Foot and Ash who loves any Foot and now Broken Foot.....Hahaha!
I hope your foot heels up quick! That's gotta hurt. (get it? Heel! LOL) :)

Sorry to hear about that.

I had my foot drove over by my brother's car many years ago, I had a car fall on me when I was working on the clutch and had the door closed on my hand in the door jamb above the window, a car battery explode in my face about 12" away, numerous shocks, hit a couple of times, lots of dirt and rust in my eyes working under cars (even wearing safety glasses because the goggles fog up too fast) and some other events I can't remember right now.

Good luck and hope it heals fast.

Good time to focus and work on your business marketing so your business will grow.

I would call the place and explain what happened or better yet, try to have someone drive you there and show them so they believe you and see if the job can be delayed a week or longer so you can have a helper go with you and you show them what to do.

After all that you're working out of a bucket now?

Chris, you need an office job.

Ah, the secrets of Workmens comp. Depending on how much you like your boss, and how you feel about things, if workmens comp has not started yet, you might want to pay for stuff out of pocket. If you do it that way, in many states, you do not wave teh right to sue. As soon as you file a workmens comp claim, you wave all rights to sue. In Arizona it really sucks for workmens comp claims, because the disability part of teh claim only pays $175 a week. Plus you have absolutely no right to sue your employer.

And I believe the law in AZ is that you do not have to use the clinic/Doctor that your employer sends you to. Broken bones, I hope you went to a quality hospital.

Yah, this is just another one to add to my list. I've raced motocross since I was 4 so broken bones and internal injuries are nothing new to me!!

Sorry to hear that!! Nothing more useless than a 1 legged man in an Ass Kicking Contest.LOL

Get Well Soon!!

Thanks for the inspiration. LOL

I had a guy fall of a small step ladder and break his foot last year. I walked around the corner and saw him laying on the ground next to the fallen ladder. Looked like a crime scene!

The guys an animal though, he was working two weeks later dragging his cast around.

I almost forgot about the broken hand from a car wreck where a guy hit my car on the driver's side while being chased by the cops, my fingers were on the top of the steering wheel, when it was over, the fingers were bent back on top of my hand so I had some broken bones there, it swelled up like a baseball under the skin.

It happened so fast I did not know it was broken until I tried to get out of he car to go get that guy before he got away. His little girl was standing up in the seat and she hit the windshield, bounced back into the seat and then hit the dash, it all was like slow motion.

I could not get out of my car fast enough due to my hand so he grabbed his little girl and ran with her leaving his license, clothes and personal stuff in the car with the engine still running. Found out later he had warrants out for him.

I also had a couple cracked ribs from sparring with my martial arts instructor, that hurt for a while, just had to tape it up and deal with it. I never went to the doctor out of ignorance but looking back I should have because if a rib had punctured a lung, I could have died.

I tried the office job, way too boring. hahaha

Sometimes you need excitement and variety. hahaha

Working in a bucket is not too bad most of the time.
