Good Advice Russ, especially for someone with a temper like mine.

It is an ordinary PVC wand with a ball valve and nozzle holder.
This basic design has been passed around on several Internet boards for years.

Some like them, others do not.

It is really a matter of personal choice.

We like a spray gun.

We find that it places the nozzle farther away from the roof, and allows more time for the pattern to develop.

However, on a tile roof, it can be convienient for some to use a wand with an angled nozzle.

This allows walking up a roof backwards, as the angled nozzle catches the faces of the roof tiles.

Personally, I find this awkard and potentially dangerous.
It is far too easy to trip over the hose with it being behind you.

I think if God wanted us walking backwards, eye's would be in the back of our heads :confused:

Plus, I do not like Chlorine spraying my feet, and I refuse to wear those stupid looking, slippery rubber boots some like.

But, to each his own ...

Back in my roofing days, we cleaned roofs w/o even using pumps!

We used a paint roller on a long fiberglass stick.
Actually, it was called a stucco/concrete roller.

We dipped it in a Chlorine pail, and rolled it on the roof!

It worked better then you might think ?
