Plaxico Burress

Plaxico Burress plans to turn himself in to police Monday morning in New York City and plead not guilty to criminal possession of a weapon, his lawyer said. Benjamin Brafman wrote in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Sunday that he was advised the New York Giants' star receiver will be charged after accidentally shooting himself in the right thigh.

hahahahahahaha what a dumb ass all the money they make. And seems to find them self's knee deep Sports is out of hand now a days

Too much money and no brains..The sad part is he will get a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again. We would be in jail calling some big dude momma..

Same thing with Pacman Jones from Dallas, craploads of money and no common sense.

thats what happens when football means more than learning in school.

I am an avid football fan and I played and lettered in 4 sports four years in a row in school and still managed to get an education, go to college and play baseball in college too, after all that I would rather have the education I recieved over the sports because what I learned is what helps feed my family.

Take away the football and most of all the NFL would be on welfare

i was hoping that Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce was going to tell more about the incident to the police, any body knows about the statement he has mad to the police?

He's an idiot. Athletes are coddled and cultivated by a network of protecting them from everything from high school on up to the pro's. There is no way for them to grow up mentally unless they take the initative to do it themselves, which apparently only a minority have done.

It's all about them and the $$$$$$ now and not the team. I like what Mike Singletary said to Vernon Davis, thats his tight end. He got a personal foul during one game and was acting like a little baby. Mike Singletary walked up to him and told him to hit the showers!! So he pouted as he walked off of the field. He said in a press conference that if his players were not there for the ultimate success of the team then they would not play and he would find someone who would. He is very "Old School" and I love it. What I would give to play football again, those four years of High School ball were the best years!! especially in the NFL. Hell, I would do it for the league minimum $285,000.00:eek: I agree with russ that the education is way more important than the sport. But if you are good at a sport you can get a free education in college if your lucky.

As a Giant fan, I say he's gotta go! That's not even because of the depth of talent we have right now.

He's an idiot.
