Portable Wash Mat

Hello Everyone, I am looking for some ideas for a portable wash mat. I have seen what some of the vendors have for sale but I am looking to see what else is out there or what some of you guys have made so you can wash on-site, what is easily taken down and put up and is durable.
I have looked at a lot of websites for different things and have some ideas but I was wondering what some of you have done.
I have the pump-out and other parts already, just need the mat or to rig up one.
Thanks.

This is for an account that I looked at today, they stopped washing last year because of the epa and tceq warning them about huge fines.

They will be building a drive-through truck wash in 1-1.5 years, the money is already in the budget so I might be able to wash these vehicles until then if they like my numbers and can wash on the mat. I can separate the oil/water/sediment and send the dirty water to the sanitary sewer and everyone will be happy.

I don't want to buy a regular mat as this account will be the only one it will be used for so I am trying to see what I can do.

I called a couple friends today and got some ideas but was wondering what people are doing out there that don't buy the regular mats.

If the surface is solid like asphalt or concrete you can burm it and recollect there. If it goes to a drain set up a drain cover and use that area as a natural ponding for retrieval.

They want it done on a mat because the previous guy washing the trucks was trying to use berms and it was getting by and the epa and tceq shut them down and warned them of fines if they are caught again so at this facility they said if I was going to do the job it has to be on a mat and the wash water separated from the oil/sediment and then the water can be sent down the sanitary sewer.

The area is flat so it is hard to tell where the slope is if any but I just want to try to do it the way that they want so they are happy and have some peace of mind if I do get the contract.

Paul, do you have a link or prices for the different sizes of mats? I don't need the pumps or anything else, just the mat. I am thinking about 15' or 20' wide by 45' or 50' long so I can park the whole vehicle on the mat. I don't want to talk about the vehicles and help my competition with this.

Thanks.

Thanks for the link. I found a lot of tarp sites and vinyl sites but not too many had the prices on them.

I called them and they told me that they did not think that the 18 ounce would be thick enough but the 20 or 22 ounce vinyl might be. I just have to see if there is a place that can heat seal several pieces side by side to make the width that I need. Not sure of who can do this but I will keep looking.

Looks like I would need 4 rolls to make the width but with the 150' lengths, that would make 3 wash mats. Now to see if someone would do this and for how much.

Thanks.
