Hey guys any of yall ever send out any sales postcards? If so can you show me some ideas... I am going to have to do a major mailing of sales postcards all over the state of Mississippi.. I am going to target every building that has a vent hood in it... Looking to send out about 3000 sales postcard flyers by the first of the year.. Any Examples

I do. I personally have not found great success with postcards alone. I have had very few calls off of postcards alone. I still send them. I feel they are a great tool and they do keep the Kleen Crete name fresh on prospects minds. I dont know about vent hoods. Maybe free cleaning with an agreement?

you don't need to plane to send just one round of 3k you need to plan to send 5 to 6 rounds of 3k so you should budget for about 15k cards

Great Advice Dj, customer need to see your name and a simple message.

The easier the message the less you will need to send is my motto

Sounds great .. I used to run around everytime I would go to a town in Mississippi to clean a hood.. I would get there a few hours early and do some sales and then if I was still feeling awake when I got thru with the cleaning I would put business cards on a few doors on the way out of town .. I guess I shouldn't complain about 146 accounts.. But I think I could do about 20 or 30 more,, Before I get to old to do this anymore.. Thanks for the input..

Talk about a good turnover rate .. I put out 10 business cards yesterday evening on the way home from working in the rain ,,,, and got 3 new accounts today.. I need to add about 33 more accounts in 2010 making an even 200 accounts.. Then I may have to start running a 2nd rig..

Well it has been a busy morning already .. I have 4 new accouts as of this weekend and this morning .. I have been on quick books entering info for about an hour now .. I really need to get work though because I only have 750.00 out right now... LOL This either means I have been getting paid and don't know about it yet or I am going broke LOL got to ask the accountant/Wife

Well I am booking for April Now and it's almost full.. March is booked solid.. Thanks to my customers I managed to pay off my new machine Friday of last week. I really feel good about this.. Also I had the bank manager tell me if I ever needed money for anything just give him a call.. You got to love making friends with a banker... Well I wonder what my next major purchase will be ???

In all honesty forget that banker for all but a MAJOR purchase.

Plan put money aside and buy outright a rig if you need it.

Vehicles, put at least 40% down at least if you buy new. If you are looking used right now there is a huge glut of work vehicles you can have your pick and price if you look around. you can get 2006-2007 E-250 work vans with less than 40K on them for 5K right now.
Save a buy it as you can to grow that way you are never extended much past your means
