Pressure Washer Purchase Advise

3500? For a little more than that, you can get a new 20hp, 8gpm, hot water machine from Pressure Pro. Most hot water units are "On the skid". Seriously, give a call to Russ and he'll hook you up. If you want options, just search around, Lots of machines out there to jump into a used one for 3500 bucks with only 13hp.

I recommend the Hydro Tek line of hot water pressure washers.

Can someone tell me what kind of PW should I buy. Which brand is good, what specs.

I recommend buying a Hydro Tek SC30009KAF hot water pressure washer.
Powered by a 27 HP Kohler engine, rated at 3000 PSI @ 8.5 GPM (25,500 cleaning units) up to 200 degree F plus to one operator. Two operators can run at 3000 PSI @ 4.25 GPM each. By adding an ANT3C High-Speed Surface Cleaner you will be able to pressure clean up to 10,000 square feet concrete per hour! A Blue Thunder Surface Cleaner can clean tile roofs at up to 2200 Sq. Ft. Per hour. You can also go green by adding an AZV88 vacuum recovery and filtration unit. You will see huge profits using these systems while savings on labor and fuel by cleaning everything in a fraction of the time.
(Using a 4 GPM PW to me is like buying 20” push mower to mow football fields. A 9K pressure washer is equal to landscaper upgrading to a 72” riding mower).

We started out buying hydro tek and have been very happy. We do mostly flat work and homes and a hot water 8 gpm machine is very nice. Hydro tek makes a solid machine. We run 30" surface cleaners. I wouldn't want to go smaller if you are doing a good bit of flat work. The water volume and heat handles everything we do which seems similar to what you are doing.

I only ask about this 4GPM machine , because I could get it for about $3500, about 30 hours on it with a 150 galon water tank, osmosis water filtration and its on the skid. :) :D
Take a breather, look around and get the correct machine for what you plan on doing. 5.5 gal min is good for most applications. 8 gal min works better for house washing and flatwork. 9 gal min just works faster. The quicker you get your jobs done the more money your company makes. The prices of the machines are cheap compared to the money they will make you if promoted correctly. Dont get hung up on the price of a cheap machine. Go rent a few different GPM machines and find out what works best for you. There is no perfect set up! Good luck
