i've been cleaning driveways and sidewalks without using chemicals. i've just been using a surface cleaner. it's 4000 psi and 4 gpm on a drive the otherday i noticed stripes in it after it dried. the grout was worn down. should i be using a chem like hypo or caustic or should i be using less pressure? thought i'd get some advice befor doing any more. i have lots to learn. thanks.

I know you have heard it before so here goes, READ !! That answer is here a thousand times.

I'm gonna help you but you really need to read past posts.

Wet the drive with a light house wash mix, then hit it with s.c. after the s.c. rinse well then hit it with a light solution and the remaining stripe will fade out.

Do not let the drive dry before rinsing.

Jef, are the driveways very dirty? If they are really stained with mold and mildew they will stripe easier.

What they guys are telling you is dead on.

I am going to be down that way the end of March or the first of April doing some commercial stuff near by, I will let you come out and work with us one night if you would like and give you a crash course of cleaning flatwork. haha Dont bring Stanley, leave his drunk azz at home!

thanks for the help. i figured it was something elemetary, and i went back through older posts and just didn't see it.
i look foward to seeing you Russ. plan a little R&R time in on your trip down. lets do a little catching up.

yea, i think that was the day i quit wasn't it? that was six dollar tie!

We used to use a cleaner, but with the new landa 6gpm machine and a water jet, its not really needed for driveways around here.
