Pricing on Logging Equipment

Just recently started washing Skidders and Dozers. Etc.

Not certain on the pricing though.
Did a John Deere skidder...nasty caked with grease in the engine compartment...used quite a bit of degreaser and about 40 minutes of cleaning, looked great and the guy was thrilled, I charged him $125 on this one and did three others for him that were engine areas only. (40-50 each on these)

Anyway, did I charge enough or too much? He seemed very happy, but then he may have just been happy that I actually showed up and worked compared to some of the other companies he told me about.

WoW thats over 3 dallors a min.,if he was happy I know I sure would have been, may been the reason he just wanted the engines done on the others(40-50) thats 75-85 for the skid not counting the engine.

four skids at 50-60 counting the engine if I can do them in 40 mins. each plus furish the chemicals,I'll wash alday long for 1 dallor a min.

So I overpriced then...got lucky I guess :)
Thanks Bigboy, I'll adjust the prices and start talking to others in the area for machinery...nice bonus money for the winter!

Not saying you where overpriced, around here I can not get prices like that.On hy. eqt. I can pretty will tell by looking at each how long it will take to clean it,it runs from 50 to 60 an hour depending on how many pieces they have to be washed and if water is on site,I fur'ish the first 550 gals..If a job is going to take more than 550 gals. of water and I have to drive a few miles to get water,I turn it down if its. hy. eqt..They will find a way to get you water, will be washing for 3 days on a sale out,no water on site but they getting me a 1000 gal. water wagon to pump out of.I have to drive to get water while fleetwashing,it takes about 15 mins. to get and get back unless I stop a the store for a snack, which I usually do.
