Prism

I worked 1 1/2 years in route sales for them in the early 90's out of WestChester Pa.

I worked for Prism from 1986 to 1994.I started as a service/sales rep when they were part of Safetykleen.I was branch manager in Edison NJ from 89 thru 94.
Art you must have worked for Steve Grifith there in Westchester.I may have met you at a meeting somewhere.

What do you guys know about Prisim and Southern California.

They were big once in Orange County.
They just went away...I have heard (from unhappy customers) that Prisim was subcontracting their work out here.
I still see their filters now and then but they seem to habve disappeared from the KEC business.

Spent quite a few days cold calling with Steve at the Delaware beaches.
We would get about 4 stops in before we gave in to the women and beer....

Brownie, are you a former Prism Guy?

Hey I am Not ... But there is this company in Mississippi that used to contract out for them called equinox... Then they started doing work for a company called Walco .. They Clean alot of the Waffle Houses.. I talked to one of the Waqffle Houses Around here and they said that If I Could Beat Walco's Price of GET THIS ( $ 135.00 per store that I could have the accounts in Mississippi.. HAHAHA .. I thought this was a joke..
So I Called Walco and asked how they clean all the Waffle Houses for $ 135.00 a store .. The Lady I talked to at Walco was really nice and she said we contract out our work to about 15 different companies and we pay them $ 100.00 a store ..
NOW THIS IS SAD SAD SAD.....

I wouldn't even go near a Waffle house for $100. Pain to drape, grease everywhere, and them standing watching over your shoulder tapping their feet wanting you to go faster.

We do several , Waffle House - Kettle - Skillets - IHOP - etc. Most of them have two complete cooking area setups. Setup clean move to the other side and do the same. No upset of service. In and out in 3.5 hrs. Gross 495.00 Couldnt do it that quick with just one man. Thats why we do several. Fast, thurough, professional service. At least two jobs per night or more.

Waffle House, one small hood down close to the equipment, I would think the equipment would need to be moved to clean, concidering it would be hot.
No second kitchen that I know of, never cleaned any just had breakfast there.

I was talking with Daryl Mirza at the PWNA convention and he told me that Commercial Services out of Florida took over Prism. So if you thought Prism was bad Commercial Services is twice as bad. They sub out most of their work and I have seen first hand the lousy work their subs do in my area.

I always have companies calling me wanting me to do sub work for them.. I always say the same thing.." I tell them before I sub For you I will put you out of Business." This always gets them to hang up and never call back.. LOL

But anyway.. I had a guy call me he said I do all the Captian D's in lousiana and I will pay you $150.00 to Clean the ones in Mississippi... HAHAHA Guess What I Now Clean all of the Captain D's in Mississippi for $300.00 a Store for myself and They Want me to go to Lousiana... NO SUB HERE>>>>
Speaking of Subs I think I am going to get me a Sub From Subway....BRB...

That is what their getting people to do the hoods for up here $150 per cleaning. I was cleaning the cooking line and floor at a friendlys up here and the so called hood cleaner showed up. Spray bottle and rags only. I explained to the manager what they were actually getting paid for and showed him what they were doing. He demanded they clean everything. While they were up in the attic trying to wipe the fan down one of them put their foot right through the ceiling into the kitchen. They finally did the best they could with spray bottles and rags, no equipment at all. They put a sticker on the hood and called it a night.

Josh,

I have no doubt that he is the Brian you think he is. Also, while you're thinking please tell us what are the numbers in this weeks lottery and will Illinois win.

Thanks for thinking.
