Problems with black staining on rims?

Going where Im guessing Mike H was going...do the lugs have lug nut covers? The grease or whatever they put on the insides of these will bleed different colors from a reaction with some soaps. We often see a dark blue color. If this is the case, apply your soap and very quickly follow up with a really good rinse.

Does the coloring from that look like a tarnish?

I think that this would be the best way to describe the staining, the color seems to be blackish.

I am wondering what you found out about this.

Was it the lug nut covers? Chemicals? Cheap rims?

We have been washing this company since our second month in business and yes we still do. We have a very good relationship with them.

It seems that it is likely rim quality, they did not want to send them back to the company so that they could check them out. Too time consuming. I have not heard any more on it though in a while, Jerry has him doing something different on these rims now. I am not sure what exactly, I think it could be no degreaser and a very light soap application with an immediate rinse..
