Pure water through equipment

Is anybody running "pure water" through pressure wash equipment for "spot free" rinsing?

Have you noticed it being aggressive toward the soft metals of the pump (brass)? Or any other ill effects on your gear?

Thanks, Tim McCulla

I have heard that Di water can be very aggressive towards the machine. Scott Stone would be an excellent person to elaborate on this.

How are you getting the pure water? Is it DI, RO, or both? In any case, I would think it would be easier, and cheaper, to use a 12v pump to pump from a tank, or if your simply using a DI filter, just use the pressure coming from the spigot. I guess this also depends on what you're washing, but I would rinse with regular water, and then rinse again with the pure water. This is what the carwashs are doing around here to conserve pure water, and cut down on cost. I would imagine pure water is not so pure again after passing through a pressure washer.

Hey Ron, Yea I'm still out here - just very crazy with work and family (we just had our second baby girl on 4/12/07). So, I've not had much time to post or even read posts for that matter.

Micah, yes I would just like to do a final rinse with "pure water", not the entire wash. pull off the house for the wash and pull from my tank for the final rinse.

Thanks all for the help.
