Purple Power+Sodium hydroxide

I do it all the time. I actually like the purple power. Its a lot cheaper.

I had tried the Purple Power a while back and it did an ok job.

You really have to be careful when trying to blend your own chemicals, especially when dealing with acids or caustics as they can easily and quickly cause irreversible permanent damage.

Hahahahahaha

I meant that some guys get serious burns, scars, damage to eyes, etc.......

Have not heard of gaining body parts. hahahahaha

I can actually vouch for what you are saying. I actually had a burn this past December that festered up to a point where I have been to the Hosp 4 days about 1 month ago because it will not heal all the way. I am type 2so it takes longer to heal. when I got this it also has caused me to come down with cellulitis as well.

Hey Chris! I use Purple power pretty regular cause its cheap and locally available when i need it and I don't have to inventory, however I would be interested in what you use on a reg basis for concrete.

What are you washing with it? We do it for de-greasing cranes for a recycling company, does a great job and the customer is amazed how we can clean their cranes and they can't.

Pat, I add it to my roof cleaning mix on occations where the roofs are extreeeemly black and or have orange mold spores. It also helps boost up some of the cleaning power on a lot of the concrete driveway cleanings we do.

Yep, I've added to roof mix on occasion before too. It's good stuff with a lot of uses. Mixed with caustic it is also good where there are heavy traffic stains and grease stains at restaurants.

Purple Power is very weak compared to most commercial grade degreasers sold by me and other guys on here. If you get a good product, you can dilute it down to purple power strength if thats what you want and be a LOT cheaper than purple power!!!! I can understand using it in a pinch, but really for what you are getting it costs a lot! Example one of my products I sell for $50 a bucket locally, its at least 3 times stronger than purple power and I looked yest. out of curiosity at the price of purple power in a local parts store and it was $25 for 5 gal. Thats $5/ gal, mine diluted to same strength (prob. still stronger) would make 15 gal. for $50, thats $3.33/ gal. !!!!! That will add up majorly over a years time if you use much!!! I ain't saying ya gotta buy from me, but find you a supplier that sell good quality cleaners and degreasers (several on here) and support them. Also when you do need something stronger, you will have it!!!

Cooper gave good advise concrete when it needs chemical needs a good strong base without the dog and pony show of a bunch of suds that takes forever to rinse.

I feel ya coop....some guys are using our viper for fleets at 100-1, xjet. We did demo for a guy that went 50-1 and he loved it, washed white straight trucks. He got thw bid, 100 units @ $20 per. Loved the chems. We sells chems that work and much cheaper than purple poop. Dilution is the solution.

Yeah, when there are too many suds, it takes forever to rinse, I hate rinsing forever.
