So whats your guys take, I think it looks great.

Is this still going?

This is my personal opinion only

Who is going to be the RCIA police?

The things I don't like are where they get into the operation of your business.

1. You have to put the RCIA logo on your truck.
2. You have to have different uniforms for sales, management and techs.
3. You have to have written procedures.
4. What the equipment standards are to be. (remember there are vendors on the BOD)

Those are just the things I noticed right away. I think they are heading the right direction but this goes too far. Although they may be good suggestions, I will not accept anyone telling me how to operate or present my business. What people forget with these associations, is that you are there to represent your company not the organization. I would want the customer to remember ME by seeing my truck not RCIA. Glad I don't have to worry about roof cleaning anymore. Having non-enforceable dictates is a joke. No mix over a Ph of 12, who is going to do the testing?

Keep working at it but this is not right. Needs to be more like the ethics pledge.
Actually Pat, we do police our RCIA Certified Roof Cleaners with infrared Equipped Drones!
Our "Certification Standards Drones" can easily tell if the roof cleaning mix is too strong, if the plants are watered enough, and can even tell if the proper uniforms are worn.
In fact, our Drones are equipped with the very latest face recognition technology, and can even tell if any of our roof cleaners have criminal records!
LOL, we don't need no stupid "Ask The Seal" Bullchit.

But seriously, our standards are merely suggestions, not commandments, and every RCIA Certified Roof Cleaner is free to run his roof cleaning business, as he sees fit.

I grew up in a Service Station, and my step father was an ASE Certified Mechanic. We also employed 2 other ASE Certified Mechanics, and all 3 repaired cars a little differently, yet all were Certified.

When you said "we don't need no stupid ask the seal" comment it was clearly a shot at AC. That stuff is getting old.

My Post was an attempt to be funny, read it again ?

Do you see where I said "But Seriously" ? (I bolded it, just for you)

Nice Try though

No one is going to buy that you "were trying to be funny" Chris. Nice try though

Tony, you can spin it any way you like. I stand by what I said, and how I said it.
It was a joke, and that was made very clear when I said "But seriously"
in the very next sentence.

I have no earthly idea what Ask The Seal has to do with AC.
I haven't spoken with AC in years.

All I know about this Ask The Seal nonsense is it is supposed to be some "guarantee" that you, or your employees have passed a Criminal Background Check.

LOL, well guess what ? Ted Bundy had no criminal record, not even a traffic ticket, before he went nuts and became a serial killer. Ted Bundy also had a near 800 Beacon Score (Credit Rating)

This industry is FULL of people with less then perfect criminal records.
Shall I name names ?

I bet you have had a few "criminals" you taught how to clean windows, LOL

Here in Tampa, many employees of a very well known Steakhouse Chain are on work release programs.
So, imagine that Tony ?

The very food you eat just MIGHT have been prepare by a "criminal" ?

So much for your "Ask The Seal", huh ?

There is another Group of Guys Many UAMCC members who Started another Certification FYI http://www.nationalsoftwashalliance.com

Ron let me clarify the certification as it stands now at the National Soft Wash Alliance. We do not certified Roof Cleaners and Power Washers. But we do honor Certifications from other Org's. like Uammc, Soft Wash System and the RCIA. We have talked about it in the past and believe our members should not have to pay again to be certified and to be in the NSWA directory. We are not doing Certifications! I screen the members and I put them in the directory.

No Tony, YOU are getting old!
Here is the scoop on Ask The Seal from the Florida Division Of Corporations (www.sunbiz.org), and as can be clearly seen, it has NOTHING to do with AC Lockyer.
Read and weep

Now, let's see if there is enough Man in you to apologize publicly, for your silly little attempt to discredit me

More than enough Chris. I was mistaken and I apologize.

I apologize too Tony.
I took the Liberty of posting your window cleaning school on one of the RCIA Forums here http://roofcleaninginstitute.org/index.php/topic/398-window-cleaning-school/
I strongly feel window cleaning is a great add on for any serious roof cleaner, and perhaps some of our RCIA Guys might benefit greatly from the training you offer, at your school.
Most of this RCIA Forum is free, and open to the public (and search engines).
Please feel free to post there if you wish to add to the post I made for you.
Chris

Wow. Forums have become the fade. LOL Sure would like to see roof cleaning come under one umbrella. Still a believer that educating the home owner is number one. As to standards, I believe a positive effort was made to set such, though not everyone will be on the same page with them. As guidelines they have some merit and anyone can take from them what they see helpful to the industry. I believe training and some form of certification has it's place in the industry if nothing else so all cleaners are on the same page or process. There are plenty of roof cleaning or cleaning forums. I would like to see more educational web sites.
