Really Neat Idea having the Bag Prior to the Can, keeps the Vacuum cleaner and free

I have one of those bag filters.

They are not bad but I wish they made them a lot larger, like a few times bigger so you can go longer before cleaning them or have a "Y" or "T" there with a couple of them there so when one gets full you can still keep going.

I had it clog quickly on restaurant cleaning so we had to stop a lot and clean it out.

It is a great idea, just wish they would make them a lot larger so you can run longer before stopping to clean them.

Would this work Chris

That is almost the same thing Carlos, the one I have has a latch on the side to open it up to take the bag out to empty it, probably the same manufacturer.

I did get it from one of those carpet cleaning supply houses.

That comes from the carpet cleaning world. they do make bigger one chris check some of the carpet cleaner boards.

I found one that is huge but it is not mass produced, they are home-made but look good quality and are over $250 each. I forgot the name but have the info saved in case I want to give them a try.

They use the paint screen bags that you get at the paint stores to get the trash out of your paint, they use the 5 gallon size.

I was thinking of maybe a huge system that had a bank of those filter bags or maybe a can that had like 5 or more so you can run for a long time before shutting down to replace or clean the bag filters but I have not seen anyone make one yet, I will keep looking.

I agree.

The one with the latch - yours - would be more convenient vs. removing the hose end and then having to screw off the top of the canister to just get to the filter to rinse off or clean.

I don't know which is better, the latch or screw top lid as I have heard the carpet cleaning guys complain about the latches breaking off and on the other side, I have heard about guys complaining about the threads getting a little bit dirty and they will not screw closed so I don't know which is better.

The latch is holding up good but it is not being used as much as the carpet guys would be using it daily on multiple jobs so I don't know.

The good thing is that they sell the replacement parts at a couple supply houses I found.

They even have different ends so if you have the quick disconnect fittings on the 2" vacuum hose (forgot the name of the brand that the carpet cleaners use), they can sell you the filter with those fittings on it so the hose will not come off when the hoses move a little bit and they can sell it to you with the larger 2.5" fittings also if needed.

what the hec is he cleaning, or should I say "grinding???? He is on one spot..... and so close to the surface

I have one of those and it is good to have them to protect your vacuum system and to show your customer how dirty his property is/was.
Don't make the same mistake and buy them from pool supply company (Hayward pool) as you will pay almost 2.5 times more...
Here you can get them for less than a $100 with a free shipping http://interlinksupply.com/index.html?item_num=AC10 or shop around...
Also make SURE you spray a top with WD-40 or grease it before you screw it back....That will help you later to unscrew it and it's easy to clean it....They can be real PITA when they got stuck and can make your day.

Maybe we can compare notes in Vegas.....

Interlink supply is where I got the extra bags, I think they were like $12 or $14 each if I remember correctly but I would like to change the inside to use other filter media that is a lot less expensive and quicker to change out, just need to work on it.

Have some ideas for a larger filter system for catching the trash before it makes it into the main pump out system tank, just have to work on them.

I think that the new stuff should be out before the year is over, heard of some different filter systems but nobody has got back to me yet, hopefully soon.

Seems each year there is more and more better technology out there to make work more efficient.
