recovery equipment

Rex at Pressure Washer Products can help you build your system or build it for you.

I know about some of that stuff, feel free to give me a call.

Anybody got any up close pics of a vac blower recovery setup. I'm building a 450 cfm recovery system. but would like to look at some pics for some more ideas. I'm more interested in the filtration tanks and the sediment tanks with pump out.

Nigel thanks thats just what i was looking for a breakdown of the inside of the sediment tank. do you have any of secondary filtration systems down to about 5 micron. I usually build everything myself if I can so pics always help. The blower is 450 cfm@15hg

Give Jerry a call for sure, he will sell you just the tanks and closed loop system.
1-800-400-CLEAN.

He is the expert on these things. Ask him about filters and what not, he has a great alternative to the flimsy disposable types.

I bought my system from him.

I am looking into building a vac like that eventually righ tnow all we have is the vacuboom stuff no gas powered equip.

I got a close look at the Hot n Mighty equipment at the PWNA show and I will say their setup is first rate on the recovery side. Simple and well thought out, definately worth looking into.

Did Envirospec see anything it can improve on and put the "Iron Horse" label on their own build!

Paul?

I have heard one vac designer claim there is a flaw on this system, but that Hot and Mighty "WR2" system look solid to me too.

Greg, I talked to Lori at Pressure Washer Products and they do know where they buy those filter housings. Give here a call, I gave her some info on what you might be looking for. I will try to find the other place I was thinking about tomorrow nite and send it to you with the pictures.

The amount of guys on PWI that want to build their own, great. Those blowers last a very long long time once it is sized correctly, proper alignment and belt tension.

I have rebuilt one 10 years ago (dam I sound old). Regular lube, and bearing vibration check, if no probe the old mechanics screwdriver tester. It should be less costly to maintenance than the pressure pump.

Here is Tom's of Liquid Heat AZ

Has anyone done a cost comparison for what they would cost to build versus what they can be bought for?? Just curious....Also for all those interested in a vac recovery system, perhaps one of the gus with experience can show some lists of parts or the resources for finding the right stuff to get a system off the ground. Thanks, Mike.

Good question, I personally would not try to build a system, for many reason besides cost.
Great surplus deals to be had on blowers, ebay etc , but thats about it, you would have to get or make everything else, not deterring anyone but thats another brain teaser I cant handle right now.

Here is another one from pressurewasher.net

Here is another that an engineer in Texas built, cant remember his contact info, but he has a lot of experience building units for carpet cleaning systems and he built this one for a guy in Texas. Will have to look on my other computer for his info.
