Reducing flow.

I need to run my media induction hopper off of my 8 gpm machine.
But I only want 4gpm max flow.
The current nozzle on my induction system is a 1505 1/4" Meg

If I run this nozzle on my 8 gal machine will the extra 4 gals. Just go into bypass? Will it do damage to the unloader?

What kind of unloader? A pressure trap unloader will just bypass the extra water, the pressure may go up a little. A flow unloader, just turn it down (unscrew bolt a few turns first) and then adjust till the pressure is what you want.
