Relay Clicking on Fatboy Soft Wash Rig, Do I need new Relay??

I was testing my new jrod holder and tips on my fatboy roof cleaning setup, as I went through all the fan tips testing distance the pump was working flawlessly, then when I switched to the 0040 tip for long distance the pump ran for about 5 minutes and then went out. When I walked over to the pump the relay was constantly clicking, I took it apart and the clicker is bouncing of the connector and not keeping constant contact when in the on postition. I threw the battery on charge for about an hour, went out and flipped the switch and it came on as normal. Now i left it on charge all night thinking the battery was just low and wasn't getting enough juice. This morning when I went to leave for work I decided I would double check and test, sure enough the relay is clicking again and the pump isn't turning on..

Did I blow the relay? Anyone else ever have this problem? Please help I had 3 jobs today that I had to reschedule for saturday and a big roof job tomorrow!!

If so I found these relays at Advanced auto parts for $5, will they work as a replacement?

That relay will work. Sounds like a low voltage issue to me. When a relay goes bad, most times it's stuck in the on or off position and not clicking back and forth. Plus when you charged your battery it started working again. I would go to the parts store buy the relay, " always good to have a spare " and also have them load test your battery for free. Update: Got my soft wash roof cleaning rig back up and running.
 
I filled up my tank with water and let it run till she was empty, so now the delevan pump has also been good and flushed out as well.

I also tested the new nozzles and their distance, with the 1540 I was shooting around 16-20 feet, 2540 I was getting around 10-15, with the 4040 I was getting around 6-8 feet. Now with the 0040 I clocked it in at 53 feet!! Very impressive!!

I am very excited to go pound out some roof cleaning jobs!
 
Sure does Steven! I had 3 jobs this morning I had to move till Saturday and was also nervous I wouldnt be able to use the fatboy for Fridays big roof job. But in the event it wasnt going to work I have a back up flowjet 5 gpm pump mounted next to my fatboy, but I just really like my fatboy lol
 
What was the problem?
