Removing Christmas Paint From Windows With Anti-Graffiti Film

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this or what chemicals to use? The job is for a shopping center I clean. Normally I don't do windows personally though. I was thinking of trying some F9? The paint is on there pretty good. Or even using some sensitive surface graffiti removal?

Any ideas or suggestions I would greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.

Water... Its water paints, just like you used when a kid finger painting. Washes right off

Yep, should not be a problem. Just wash it off, and no problems.

If its on pretty good ? Sample a few chems and agitate with a brush then rinse or soapy water and a 6 inch razor blade and rinse with DI water.

I have seen times here when they use non water paint. For those I use a 6" razor to remove it. I wet the window and scrape the stuff off. I also hold a plastic bag that I let the paint scrapings drop into as I'm working to make sure I don't make a mess.

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll do a test area in the morning and see how it comes out. I know last year the maintenance guy had a heck of a time though getting the paint off. It took him awhile to do it.

Vince,
Is there an anti-graffiti film on these windows?
Those are sacrificial films you can peel off when they get tagged.
Surely if you try to scrape, you will trash the film.
So if you can't wash it off, someone needs to peel off the graffiti film.
Since they made the investment in graffiti protection, and would probably want it replaced ASAP, it needs to be their decision.

That was my mistake Vince. I misread the post title. I didn't see there was film on these windows. In that case you absolutely can't use a scraper. Sorry.
With the film though you should be able to get the paint off with any of the other methods here.
If it is difficult to remove you might try Goof Off or a product from Titan Labs called Oil-Flo to loosen it's hold on the film.

Dang I missed it to

Shouldn't it just come of with water and low pressure?. Then just re apply the coating?

I have a funny feeling that they used a oil based paint on the windows. Even after 2 months the windows look like they were just painted. They told me not to use the pressure washer on the windows even with low pressure.

Is that because a pressure washer would trash the anti-graffiti film?
