Rinse or not to rinse.......

It is not good to leave any chemical on a surface especially one that turns into a salt . So I rinse and promote rinsing now ! it's my leg up on non rinsing crowds. Just got two more because I rinse and don't cause shingle shedding !

Ha ha ha..lol

I do a light rinse on shingles just because I knock my mix way down and it needs it for me to leave with a good looking roof in the mirror. .as well as metal roof. .you just have to rinse it...tile roof. .nope...let that stuff sit up there and get the neighbors who notice the roof staying clean for SO LONG. If you think about it between the love and the top secret double probation boostesrs I put in there it takes me about 3 minutes under my 2" ball valve from my tank to rinse a splash off my hands..I know youve been there. That roof will NEVER be fully rinsed...ever...unless you sat there for two days. And ill still bet theres a tiles with a taste of salt. I tell our customers 2-3 weeks and the roof will stop bubbling when it rains and thats when they will realize there "terminal result"..cha ching buzz word added baby soft wash look out.lol

You should never wash a roof. Pressure will damage it, but bleach is even worse. The best way to get rid of black streaks is to let the mold grow until the roof is a uniform black color.

At least that's the general consensus around here.

... and then apply your first coat of latex "Clean & Bright" semi-gloss. The roof will look new in no time.

Our roof made it through a couple of hurry canes and about 10 rain storms producing 3 inches or more( down pours) over the last few years.

A wee bit of rinsing to get rid of the bleach and soap is like a rain storm.

I have had to rinse some to get the "dead streaks" off. I advertise same day results so I like to deliver. I rinse most of the moss off however I had one the other day that would need a fire hose to get it all off right then. The customer was more than satisfied to give it a rain or two.

Common sence chemical rinsing is working Beautifully . Don't give your asphalt shingles hypertension Rinse the salt!

Don't wait for rain?

Dry out the granules? They are stone, how much moisture can be in stones to dry them out and then "shed" off a roof. I guess it depends on how much common sense a customer would have, and if you are selling against someone who rinses or doesn't. Paradox selling.
