Round table dates are set

If you have interest in either hosting or attending please fill out the information….

Hears what the meetings are about.

The local meetings are designed for the sole purpose of meeting other power
washing contractors in your area. There are a few that will be sponsored by
distributors, but it should not be a meeting for the distributors to sell
you products. Ideally, it should be a get acquainted session. All costs
should be paid by the individual contractor. That means that it is a dutch
treat affair. We do not want to burden one contractor or distributor with
the costs of their area. If you would like to know about locations, and
times please click on the map for your area.

Ron,
I'm just saying that it won't mail until March. I understand she gave you a deadline for the fifth, but Feb. is already in print and in the mail. I have a copy.

No, actually I don't think there's enough people in my general area to host.

We're looking forward to the 3 hour drive and weekend in St. Louis (that's the BIG CITY for us!) and to meeting folks from in and around this area there.

Things To accomplish at the round table meetings.

1. Get a volunteer to host the next meeting in Oct.
2. Take a group picture to be able to post on the BBS.
3. Have everyone do a short introduction of him or her self.
4. Give some brief Guidelines on reminding we are all competitors and not to be afraid of answering questions that could be detrimental to your business. (EXAMPLES)

a. Don’t use customer’s names.
b. Don’t talk about things you feel uncomfortable about.
c. Proprietary secrets.
d. Remembers contractors coming are competitors and those coming are going to be professionals.

Just use common sense when asking question and answering. Anyone that doesn’t want to answer a question ask should not be look down upon but respected that they feel that’s a difference in there service that they just wish not be discussed.

We can help each other and grow stronger together as a group. We can unite this industry and raise the standards. Great things have happened to me in the little networking I have done over the last couple of years.

I will share some of my networking success stories.

1. On more than one occasion I have loaned equipment to competitor and in return I was paid back in needing something down the road from them.
2. I have borrowed spare parts and have loaned spare parts to keep rigs up and running.
3. We have traded jobs large and small. (Job that I don’t service and have gotten ones my competitors doesn’t service.
4. i have found some new products through netwroking face to face and have made my service better.

I think that the pros will be at these meeting and the guys we are afraid of will be outside looking in. that’s a shame because you shouldn’t be afraid of your competitors. Sure we all have the horror story of the contractor following you around. These people are not a threat to your businesses, if they where they would not have time to follow you around. (THE PROS WILL BE THERE, if you’re professional come by one of these meeting and meet your competitors. You’ll find all of us are human and we all have families. Just like you and me we all are just men and women.

These are some of my thoughts, please ad if you have anything.
