Setback for I14 committee and safety standard

As a result of two appeals to ANSI regarding procedural non-compliance that triggered a special audit by ANSI's Executive Standards Council, the council has decided to suspend the I14 committee's accreditation.
The committee - and the IWCA as secretariat - have been given the option to appeal or submit to a recertification process.
Also - apparently the I14 Window Cleaning Safety Standard was withdrawn late last year by ANSI, because the committee hadn't been able to revise or reaffirm a 2011 version.

Or an opportunity.
There's a lot of good info there - and the IWCA owns the copyright.
I believe the IWCA could go ahead - without ANSI or the I14 committee - and publish any or all of it as an IWCA safety standard. (Or IWCA Safety Guidelines.)
If they go that route, they would have some decisions to make about stuff like anchors and 300' limits.
Those would be tough decisions, but they'd be made by window cleaners.
