Shoes?

There are special shoes made just for roofers.
They are expensive, and do not last long when exposed to the chemicals.
All things being equal, I personally like a SOFT sole shoe.
I find they grip better for me, and I can FEEL myself starting to slip better.
No, they do not last as long as shoes with harder soles.
This is the price you pay for safety.
It is just like tires.
Soft tires grip and ride better, but wear out sooner.
Harder compound tires last forever, but ride like a truck, and do not stick as well.
Same with shoes.

These are pretty interesting. I havent used them yet, but have been thinking about it. But I wouldnt take anything else this website says to heart.

"Water resistant boots made especially for walking on roofs, with special replaceable pads designed for maximum grip on roofs are highly recommended."

They look interesting, and might be good ?
Steep roofs here in Florida are one in a hundred, so we do not feel a real presssing need for special shoes.

God I wish. Its the other way around here. Only the older homes have low pitched roofs, and for some reason they dont really clean their roofs. Most of our work is 15 years or newer, and most have steep roofs.

ALL the more reason for you to get a better pump :)
