Simpson water shotgun

Need opinions on the Simpson water shotgun line. I'm looking at cold water 13 hp Honda, 4gpm, 3500psi belt drive, General pump. Any experience with the machine good or bad? Accessories hard to find? I'd be doing house washes, decks and walks. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Paul

That's the machine that I started out with, and it fit my needs very well early on. I still have it and use it for things like decks where it is sometimes easier to use a portable machine and hot water is not necessary. Very good value, overall good machine. The unloader is a Simpson part, not easily found and is sometimes finicky.
 
Why would you want to pay those high prices for those machines? You can get a machine with basically the same features for a lot less.

You can get a machine just like that for half of that price.
 
Actually, I was looking at a used machine at about one third the price of new from a guy nearby me. Tommy, I'm open for suggestions if there's a better deal out there....Paul
 
I got mine from Home Depot. They had used it twice to clean up the garden center and then it had sat behind the paint desk for about a year and a half. Two flat tires, no hose, etc. Made a good deal with the manager and got it for $350. Remember, it had only been run twice!! I think it was well worth what I paid.
 
Yeah, I'd say you were in the right place at the right time Warren. Ain't life like that? Some times you get the deals...Thanks for all replies guys. Any other information I should know?

I've got a Simpson pressure washer that originally came from Sherwin Williams, and it retailied for about $1700. I bought mine use for less than half that.

Mines not called a water shotgun though. It's a 11hp Honda, with a belt driven General pump. It has performed extremely well for me.

If I were looking for another cold water machine, I would call Mark at EasyClean. He has a special now for $1199, and that even comes with a Cat pump.
 
I bought the one from Mark last year and has worked very well for me. I mainly use that as my back up machine.
